Born in SE Saskatchewan, James Bradley Gibson, or otherwise known as Brad, grew up in Calgary, Alberta, where he enjoyed the majority of his youth. Throughout his late teens and early 20’s he could often be found performing across Western Canada as a drummer in several bands. Eventually he was drawn to international experience and followed his dreams to the US, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Business at Arizona State University. Brad subsequently enjoyed a lengthy career in the music industry and has plenty of entertaining stories he loves to share. As a sales and marketing associate and artist manager in the music business, he lived and worked in the bustling metropolitan cities of Los Angeles, New York and Toronto.     

In 2008, Brad took his affinity for corporate business and consulting clients, to the stringent rigours of working with banks and lenders in the mortgage finance industry. He currently holds his mortgage license with Mortgage Tree Brokerage Inc. and has enjoyed many years becoming an expert in this field.

In 2017, Brad was introduced to the Life Insurance and Investment industry as a compliment to his mortgage financing practice. He developed quickly working at a large agency and found his true passion was diligently helping clients with important life decisions and becoming their trusted advisor.  It was a natural evolution that led Brad to starting his own firm, JBG Financial, in August of 2020.    Possessing great knowledge of mortgage products has given Brad a tremendous advantage in fully understanding the life insurance business and its products.  He has now embraced advanced personal and corporate life insurance, and investment strategies that maximize a client’s dollar while minimizing their federal tax burden.

Brad prides himself on building strong client relationships and does not take a “sales” type approach with his firm. He believes educating clients on financial products is critical to the success of achieving the client’s financial goals. The best financial plan is only as good as the client’s understanding of the plan.
